I recently came across this funny roommate search ad on social media, I'd link it otherwise, but it's in Finnish, but it went like this:

Come to think about it, if I was looking for a place to stay, responding to this ad wouldn't be that bad idea. I would first pretend to be this huge leftist cocksucker, move in and bring some acid with me. The first night after the move I would get high with my new roommate and when the acid kicks in, it would finally be the best moment to drop some truths: "You know what I've been thinking lately, I've been thinking.. IT'S OK TO BE HUWHITE! I also realised that I SUPPORT DRUMPH! And you know what? I don't think I told you yet, but I'M A FASCIST!"

I would be looking for a new place the day after, but I'm sure xer reaction would be worth all of it.

I do wonder if some of it just a grift. Although a depressing majority of it is probably legitimate.

I've had Beats from 2014 that snapped because of how cheap the plastic was and the left ear gave out, two broken laptops and a one that had its battery die out, leaving my work gone or in queue and you don't see me begging, especially for something as superficial as some goddamn headphones.

I have some Dollar Store earbuds and they have decent sound quality Just get those. You gotta really be hard of hearing.

Also you have people who lost more that don't resort to begging.
