Oh but that's part of it. See, his mind is fighting a fierce battle in that other dimension with Mewtwo against those otherworldly beeings while his body is vacantly staring at the screen.
If you ask me, Smash Ultimate's online play isn't great but there's no need to overdramatize it that much.
