Yeah, I know you don't. Loads of websites block regions, especially news websites because they can't make money with those regions. Hulu is blocked in most places outside of the USA for example and always has been, by Hulu themselves.
But feel free to go "lul muh article 13" when it hasn't done jack shit anyway.

If you're not in the EU you don't have to do jack shit to abide by their Internet bullshit. IF some site is blocking the EU they're doing it to showboat in protest and not because they have to.

Funny enough the Twitch headman said a while ago the new law is too broad and unclear so they will lobby to alter it when it is in the way of business

Which it will be for just about any site relying on user-created data to sell.

True. If anything, the EU would have to block them, not the other way around.

FTFY
Friendly reminder that article 13 isn't even in effect right now. It passed but it's still far from enforcement.
If a site is blocked in the EU, or more likely just outside of the USA in general, it's either because of ad money, serious legal issues concerning copy right like streaming platforms that only have the legal right to stream certain stuff in certain nations or over the user data stuff.
Remember when you were spammed with e-mails of companies updating their terms and conditions? That was because of a EU law that basically boils down to people being able to command websites from erasing all their data when they want to. Terms and conditions got updated, nobody cared. Same shit is going to happen with article 13. Websites will just update their terms and conditions to say "I agree hereby to not put copyrighted shit on your platform" and that's it.

Realistically, the EU does not have the means to enforce that law. Entertaining the thought for half a second that they could, you're an idiot if you're still not using a VPN in current year +4 anyway.

That GDPR shit was, if I'm not mistaken, the reason why Gravity barred all the eurofags from the iRO servers, since they weren't even trying to be compliant with it. Just kicked them all and told them to fuck off.

Oh, and regarding VPNs, it's all fine and dandy... until these lawmakers finally decide to make them illegal (because they'll be used to circumvent and disguise traffic from torrent sites, mostly), using the tried and tested argument that only pedophiles and criminals (because deep down (((they))) don't think pedophilia is a crime) use VPNs. Normalfags, not understanding what VPNs are or how stupid is the idea that law enforcement doesn't regularly catch stupid pedos trusting the "no log policy VPNs", will just say "meh" because their Facebook normalfag posting won't be affected.
