Amazon

Looks like prime is going up in price to $120 a year, which I thought $100 was already grossly overpriced and not worth it

They also didn't pay any taxes this year, and I hear working in the warehouse is complete shit.

It’s going to start sucking a lot more for employees once the tracking wristbands get implemented.

Prime gets less worth it every year. It's worthwhile if you buy a LOT of shit on there, but if you don't, you're better off rolling purchases together into a single large order, which I think still gives you free shipping. Besides, all shipping these days is either "free" shipping or the shipping price + normal price works out to the same as what it would be if they adjusted for "free" shipping.

That's ignoring the fact that Ebay is often cheaper. I remember some cuck responding to me saying that by arguing "b-but the prices change all the time-you just need to watch it more!"

No, you cuck. I'm talking about average prices over a year or longer. Amazon is consistently more expensive than that average price range. People price their shit for more on Amazon because the customer base is larger + Amazon takes a bigger cut than Ebay. Ebay prices reflect actual market value. Amazon prices reflect actual market value + or - Amazon's influence. Sometimes Amazon's warehouse comes in and undercuts the market for a few days, but more often the market is inflated thanks to factors I already mentioned.

I sold shit on Half.com for years. I'm not going to sell anything on Amazon because their percentage is bullshit imo. They are greedy fucks and their 2-day shipping is 100% a lie. Sometimes it's 2 days, but most it's 5. You can buy shit on ebay and get it in five days for less money. Ebay just doesn't make up some lie about 2-day shipping to convince you you're getting an amazing deal. Even if you order on Monday, odds are pretty good you ain't getting shit until Friday-Saturday and good luck trying to complain. They don't even let you open a ticket until the items are super fucking late IIRC.

Also the obvious complaints that Amazon treats employees like shit, but tbh who cares because every company does that in current year.

Where do you live that this is your experience? Usually I order something on Amazon and I get it either the next day or the day after that. In fact, if I have to wait more than two days it's either because what I ordered isn't currently in stock or because they sent it using Royal Mail as opposed to delivering it themselves.

I live in the USA. I'm sure if you live in a tiny island and your distribution center is across the street, you'll get packages faster.

I know what country you live in. I'm asking if you live a small town or out in the country or somewhere where the courier might think twice about delivering to

Our distribution centres are not across the street. Most of them aren't even in London. Occasionally some of the stuff I order, through Amazon themselves, comes from Germany.

You have to understand that while DHL is amazingly fast in Germany and even across European borders to certain nations, in the burgernation it's pretty much unheard of to get a parcel the next day unless you use FedEx and pay ridiculous prices.

If I order something on Amazon that ships from Germany by 17:00, it arrives the next morning at 11:00. That's no express, just the priority shipping that you get with prime for "free". Express is almost never any faster, unless I order later. Those shipping times are not possible in the USA.

I live in a major city bruh. There's a distribution center very close to here. Still takes like 5 days with the 2 day shipping bullshit.

Yeah, in Europe you guys don't fuck around with postage. When I've ordered shit from the UK and USA the time difference between receiving items was ridiculous, sometimes twice as fast.
