Net Neutrality....probably should have a thread here on it.

Talk about the internet itself instead of people.

They do here since they are the punks / anarchists from Exarchia. They are one and the same and always proudly display the fact that they give "solidarity" to degenerate druggies everywhere, talk shit about everyone and are in the ins and outs of "the muslim community"(I shit you not). It's the kind of guys that spread the worst kinds of pozz in Athens and it's a wonder LA.O.S. or Golden Dawn don't have more votes simply out of pure reaction and a wish to purge these fucks. They already insuted football and coffee, I wonder how they are still breathing.

See, I'm not too worried about a group that needs extreme protection by state and police to even operate. If the one thing they supposedly are fighting against, a fascist totalitarian state, would ever happen or even come close to happening, they would collapse immediately.
They couldn't even stand their ground against regular citizens without police protecting them.

So the total opposite of us. Maybe I should start thinking about getting a gun and a gun license after I finish my services, given the police don' do anything.

Not worried. Because whenever this sort of shit starts to happen, after the initial shock enterprising individuals start to figure out how to pirate it to make money.

More people will bust out to 4G and other sources. Big producers and networks may start going into markets themselves. When everything was equal no one cared. Now? Even less people are going to buy and use channels within the premium packages to save on Internet bandwidth.
There may even be a secondary resale market to sell off bandwidth to recoup costs.
Life finds a way.

Not sure what you're getting at, but I'm under the impression that due to Comcast owning most of the physical infrastructure they bully out all their competitors through shitty lobbying, thus making it so you can't go anywhere else.

I think he means 4G providers like verizon may step into the internet scene and try to offer you wireless cards to compete with ISP's if they really start to get shitty.

Ah I get it.

Could be a workable way around it.

What are ISP''s going to do when cell companies can just go around them?

I guess I could tether my phone to my desktop....

There is way too much money invested in the Internet, for people to stop using it because they can't afford it. This is why those four corporations (or whatever it is) that own the physical architecture can't be greedy and kill the golden goose.
Fer instance:Show

Let's say Comcast decides to be clueless idiots and start jacking up the price. Well, people are just going to buy less or use it less, or if they suck it up, that eats into time or money they would have spent on other things, either because they want to stubbornly make the most out of what they bought, or they can't afford to do anything else.
Well, this isn't going to go unnoticed for very long. If people are watching, most other leisure companies are going to get upset. If they AREN'T (or as much), this affects networks, pay TV, advertisers, format companies, etc. Who also aren't gonna take this crap lying down.

What ends up happening is some other enterprises who are smelling easy money and have that entrepreneurial spirit will start looking for new ways to circumvent the status quo. If it's anything like how it historically happens, it will likely be founded by former employees from a current company who are dissatisfied how things are currently being done. This could mean bringing back satellite and research into how to expand coverage into more locations (partners with local relays in rural areas) to get the Interwebs in more houses. Maybe they'll just try to host more in other countries and sell space and access through a foreign ISP (which would start a fantastic bidding war). Maybe advertisers will get together and collaborate on getting the consumer prices down in exchange for more exclusive ad space (which helps ensure eyeballs keep watching and playing). I'm not even talking about the new completely different research technologies that may grow out to replace them (5G? Internet through FM/AM? The water line?)
Bottom line is that consumers will benefits from all the sharks trying to wrest business away.

Comcast et al. can't be cartels together to fix prices either. For the simple reason that cartels never last: it's too damn easy to cheat. Once one of them cheats for easy super-profits, the rest all do it too pretty much because they have to. Then they lose and consumers win.
Even if they somehow stay together, one good thing government does is it's ability to force them to break up. Suddenly you'd have deregulation like the phone companies all over again.

More likely, this will just jack up the price for superusers--who tend to be the side of the hardcore addition scale/unemployed more than anything else. Advertisers will probably work with broadbanders to price them out if they realize they've been squeezed dry (since there's no money in them). Those Twitchtards who do it for a profession will just have to find a way to make themselves profitable or else get on an official side channel deal. These means more original stuff, because it tends to be cheap shit to make, but also has the effect on not being low effort gaming garbage. (Maybe people will actually play their own games again!)

In the meantime, forcing everyone to pay the same rate was hurting the bottom line. Now that the gloves are off, AT&T may start barreling into Comcast country once it sees how much money it can steal away by shuffling around their pricing model. Networks may just decide to say screw it and invest in their own delivery platform (like the WWE did) and partner with Hulu and others to package their services to an inclusive separate streaming model.
Never listen to what 'everyone is saying,' especially these Internet Nobody tools. They get scared at anything they don't understand at more than a grade school level (taking away things is bad!!).
And anything that might put them on the chopping block--well, too damn bad. If the worst happens and they can't make a living no more, then that's the free market, bitch. They ought to be grateful they made so much already off of others' hard work and investment.
...and still: Spoony did nothing.

Who cares about Comcast. There will be civil wars across Europe and Amerika similar to how the Roman Republic transitioned to the Roman Empire. Capitalism can't be fixed, imperialism rises again, the two clashing ideas of left & right in democracy can't solve the problems and give way to the civil wars with old ideologies striving for power (Communism, Fascism, Anarchism).

The AfD thinks they can save Capitalism by forcing people to work without a minimum wage and abandoning all social systems Bismarck established. The left will undermine Capitalism by forcing a minimum wage on every company and establishing more social systems like unconditional basic income.

Bundeswehr predicted the wars will start around 2040 if worst case comes to fruition.

I assume neither Communism nor Fascism will get a hold of America because of the Freemasons. Most likely it will be Distributism or anarcho-capitalism.
>In the Winter of Roman politics there was a shift from the Roman Republic to Caesarism, or government led by a charismatic strongman. Eventually, the idea of representation broke down and there was a shift to bloody “force politics.”

>Of course, our current government is modeled on the Roman system. There are even similarities between the two dominant parties. In Rome, the two dominant parties were the Optimates and Populares, the Republicans and Democrats of their day. This form of representative government eventually stops working because the system of checks and balances interfere with each other, causing gridlock. Force politics (killing people) eventually comes along to break the gridlock. (As an aside, some historians say it’s possible we entered this era in 1963 with the assassination of JFK by the military-industrial complex.) Arguably, this predictive model is spot-on with the current situation in the Western world. So, if Spengler’s model is correct, we are awaiting the rise of a dictator to come along and smash the rotten edifice of democracy sometime this century.
