Hitler's staunchest critics at the time could not help but admire his gift for oration. There's an excellent interview in The World At War about this. Even when they knew what he was saying was the same old NatSoc rhetoric, his critics who were listening couldn't help but be caught up in the fervor and to wish for a moment that they could believe what he was saying and be swept along on that tide of emotion.

Nonsense. Politicians never got as good as back in the day when you had to overpronounce everything so the shitty radios could catch your words of wisdom.

I'll agree with Niggerfisch - it doesn't sound quite like a 1v1 recreation.

And yeah, he sure pulled off a lot. Got to have good oratory ability - people in the Hitler youth would talk about how they'd pledge their life to him during these speeches. He had a bona fide cult of personality.

H.L. Mencken once said oratory was dumb and for niggers. I don't have anything to add.
