Most of the spiders around here are hobo spiders and I crush the fuck out of them when I see them. They don't build webs and they love to crawl around in my stuff. Probably 90% of the time, the way I discover a spider in my house is from them crawling on me. I used to be a lot more phobic around them than I am, but it still pisses me off when I see movement out of the corner of my eye while reading and then suddenly realize it's a fucking spider crawling on my arm or next to my head.

My pet Araneus Diadematus died earlier last week. She laid three egg nests, which are supposed to hatch next early summer, but stayed alive for a very long time. Kikepedia claims they lay eggs and then just drop but she stuck around for quite a while. Half a year.
Then last week she wasn't in the net, nor in some corner. Next morning I found her on the ground. Killed loads of fruit fly for me from what I can see in the net. Super useful house guests.
