So, the newest craze on youtube is AI covers of songs. A C-list voice actress got in a tizzy that they used audio of a character she voiced to sing a joke song about the internet, which isn't even monetized.

The VA's name is Erica Lindbeck, and she and her loser VA friends are taking this luddite stance that AI is going to cost them their easy ass jobs.

Social media made voice actors think they matter. It's literally the most expendable acting job. You don't have to be fit or even look good, like most actors have to be. You can just get another schmuck off the street to say the lines. And THIS is who they're simping over

AI is mostly good with monotone voices and is shit at any sort of emotion and subtle inflection, just listen to any Joe Rogan AI. Most AI voices sound tired and shit, and even then I haven't heard it create new voices. All it does is rely on existing voices and having a ton of data like podcasts to be more accurate.

Keanu Reeves has more range than AI.
