People on kiwi have speculated that basically the reason he's ruining the wetlands is he paid less for his house because it didn't have lakeside placement or view, and now he's got it into his retard brain that he can just give himself those things his wealthy neighbors have by doing a quick-and-dirty captain planet villain-style destruction of the native wetlands.
It's delicious that a man who screamed about how he was so environmentally friendly because he was a vegan is going to get fucked in the ass because of damage he did to his environment.
Lainey is as moronic as Grug. All the shit they're in, and she shows "there's our lake access and THERE'S OUR DOCK." That video gives all the evidence any agency needs, complete with deciduous tree stump and razed land outside their boundary. Unbelievable.

Meanwhile, it looks like someone just drove a tank through it - land that's not theirs - and slopped turf down. If he really thinks that's going to just turn into a pristine, sloping lawn....oh dear. You can put a ton of work into preparing for turf and it still may not take, but good ol Grug just thinks its some form of living carpet. Invitingly leading his kids down to danger.

These twats can't be real...
The dock is probably made out of cardboard from all the shit spastic prinx keeps ordering.

Won't that get him in even more shit tho? What exactly does he intend to do with a dock? Stick his uchoob millionaire's yacht on it? Or, much worse and more likely, use it as a fishing dock?

He's going to have to explain it and he obviously doesn't have a boat nor is the pond/lake big enough. So the obvious assumption is fishing - I don't know the intricacies of US fishing laws but here if you're caught fishing out of a protected area, you'll drown under more legal paperwork than the lake you were dipping into has water. I don't know if that area can be fished but somehow I doubt it, and even if permitted, surely its licensed? The fines for off-licence salmon fishing here can be astronomical.
So he did indeed put a DOCK on there in addition to all the bulldozing.

Oh and it is CONFIRMED he was burning his bonfire DURING A BURN BAN in one of the worst burn seasons we've ever had.
Note that in the photo of the bonfire that it's all green wood that hasn't even started to burn yet, however there are flames all around them. Looks like he poured some gasoline on it to get it started. Wanna bet that that will contaminate the soil and rainwater runoff coming down the hill will carry it into a protected fish spawning ground?
Here's a transcript from kiwi about all the shit he's admitted to. I didn't add the picture of him burning shit because it fucks up on the autofilter.
And here's the transcript of his "I caught them on camera" video, where he:
- blames a neighbor for telling him to rent a bulldozer (please note he's no longer referring to the Bobcat as "a small tractor")

- blames Fish & Wildlife for 'tresspassing' (remember all those clauses on his property contract he initialed, where he promised he understood that by purchasing on a protected wetland, all sorts of agencies are allowed to come onto the property literally whenever?)

- still doesn't understand that the work he did was NOT to his own property, and that he does not own the buffer zone, plus cannot destroy wetland area without permission, even if he owns the land

- blames another neighbor for reporting him instead of coming over to talk about it (remember that "old hippy lady" neighbor he tweeted about coming over to do just that, prior to reporting him? Greg doesn't)

- thinks the issue they have is that he ripped out the protected wetlands mechanically instead of by hand

- and thinks hes going to get out of this by blaming officers of the law for trespassing. So he understands he's in serious trouble at this point, but still thinks he's smarter than everyone else and will get off on a technicality and somehow not get into trouble. A narcisssist's magical thinking never ceases to amaze.

Just look at how fucking shitty his lawn looks!
I don't get it - if a normal person makes a lawn, they would at least try to make it as flat as possible. Is that idiot thinking that it will somehow naturally flatten? If so, that's some DSP level of stupidity and laziness right there. Just cover it with expensive shit as if you're laying a carpet you ignorant fuck, no need to do actual work like flattening the ground.
You plebs don't get it. He's trying to go for a "Verdun battlefield, one hundred years later" look for his garden.

Has any of those Kiwis tried going to Google Earth? Those satellite pics of theirs are usually months (years?) behind, and they could get images of what the property used to look like.

They have. His house used to be completely surrounded by trees with absolutely no access to the lake.

Edit: This is the picture from the house listing:

Man, how the fuck can you be jelly of your neighbors' lakeside view if your house is inside a miniature forest? That sounds rad as hell.

I'd pay good money to see the look on his face when it finally dawns upon him how complete and utterly fucked he is.

Sounds cool, but isn't, unless you like it just for the isolation and plan to stay in the house. Can't argue with you there if that's the case.

In most ways that matter, having a yard that dense with trees means that you don't have a yard. There's no sun, so there's no grass. Maybe bramble and fern if you're lucky. In the photo there, that's probably all mulch. For old growth, anything requiring more than five paces of flat ground is a writeoff. The roots will see to that. Those roots will also be sniping for your ankle.

Added bonus, the trees nearest the house are all pines or similar, so they go right to the ground, so those are 20-30 ft chunks each that you can't use.

Even better, and even a patch that small, the humidity is much higher. Trees breathe, keep the ground wetter and cut off the wind, even ten steps in. And there are always bugs. That early evening period just after sundown when everything comes out to eat you? That's all the time. Sitting outside on the porch is a bad plan, unless you have buglights on in the middle of the day.

Not one word of this is defending the idiot, but I'll wager there's a reason the house was on the market that long. The locals knew better.
