This is essentially a public trial so... maybe?
More like a public show trial.
All public trials are one type of show trial or another. The end goal behind them may be different (the point isn't always to get a conviction), but none of them are ever fair or objective.

All the idiots in the comments are saying "they did an investigation, that PROVES that Vic did it but they can't release that info publicly. YOU ARE NOT ENTITLED TO EVIDENCE". This proves nothing, this is the same company that was fine ramming anti-gamergate propaganda into a dub when it wasn't in the original show. This is the same company that has multiple employees who fucking hate him and are more than happy to threaten to quit if they don't get there way. And somehow Funimation have the best investigators in the world who have found info all the of the internet hasn't got their hands on? Or did they just "investigate" by looking at the ANN article and some twitter stories? I am betting on the latter and they are saving face.

I hope Vic's lawyers are keeping track of this, ANN will definitely be fucked by this. And still nothing from Neil Kaplan, now that Vic's career is ruined he has nothing to say on the matter and is back to posting like a normie. Still waiting for those logs you prick.

It's not a criminal investigation. It's just an (((investigation))) whatever that even means. Bet you anything the records of that investigation are NOT public or verifiable. They mean their corporate HR office looked at social media shit and decided to cut Vic.
Almost 100% certain their investigation was politically biased. MUH DIVERSITY

Guys, do yourselves a favor and don't read the responses to that Tweet. There's a pretty clear line in the sand there. One side is talking about due process, unproven claims, lamenting the presumption of guilt, and what this all means in situations beyond one particular case. The other side keeps barfing the words "following an investigation" as if that's more than just PR talk, and shouting "NOBODY OWES YOU PROOF LOLOLOL" at the first side. It genuinely seems completely lost on them that people might take interest in an issue like this for anything other than purely personal gain.

You stupid, solipsistic motherfuckers, people aren't asking for proof because they want it for their own sakes; they're more asking for verification of its existence, because setting a no-proof-required precedent has terrifying implications and grants insanely undeserved power to anyone who feels like lodging a complaint, formal or informal, TRUE OR UNTRUE. Every single claim about Vic might be true. We don't fucking know, and to an extent, it's true that it's none of our business. But what if they're not? What if they're all bullshit? Or what if the next person against whom allegations are brought is completely innocent? You're advocating a system that would disallow you from even asking that question. The fact that you can't see that is baffling. The fact that you think it's justice is even worse.

There's a reason the term "wrongthink" is so often brought up in reference to SJWs. They would like to eliminate the possibility of someone even thinking about asking a question they don't approve of, or which doesn't suit their politics at that moment.

If the accusations were against Shillary Cunton, they'd change their tunes in a fucking hurry.

It's Funimation fulfilling their side of a contract because they know they terminated him without cause. Funi could care less about rape. They fired Vic to appease to trigger(ed) happy SJW Twitt-fags but soon realized their actions were rash and opened themselves up to a possible lawsuit.

These people are unforgivable. They claim to fight against injustice but are just as (if not more than) vile and reprehensible as the nastiest person out there. Even worse is the fact that they seem to succeed in getting away with this shit unscathed. All I can hope is that someone with the ability to strike them where it hurts takes action.

Doki Doki SocJus Warrior Anita-chan is the greatest of all meganekkos.
Thunderfoot and Miscarriage of Acchild certainly think so. Lots of tsundere all around.
Concept:
Comic strip of the "garbage human" incident with Carl and Anita in animu style, both blushing and pouting. Next panel, Anita plugging Carl from behind while he moans, "I wouldn't even rape you Senpai!" and she screams "But I would rape you, baka misogynist Onee-Chan!"

Someone get pibbs.
