Always seemed more to me like "It can't be retro if I was past the age of cognizance when it came out." Same goes for TV, movies, music, ect. It's all based on the tired-as-hell "oh no I'm getting ooooold lol" shit.

There's already a new Little Samson made not too long ago. The Nintendo Wii Store has been shut down and there were exclusive Castlevania versions on it. A Wii with those and similar stuff on it will go for a good buck in ten or so years.
Digital only releases on old consoles will be the next big thing. Stuff like a PS3 with P.T. and such.

They say digital only releases are ruining the collectors market of the future. It's the exact opposite. They are like those satellite distributed games for the Super Famicom, just that they aren't missing the live commentary and orchestra music.

Modding a Wii is piss easy. You can just load it up with emulated VC and WiiWare games. I've done it before.

Yeah wii emulation is one of the easiest to do, and even with a modded wii I still barely touch the thing.

Just compare Dolphin to something like say, Virtualbox, Dosbox, Retroarch to some extent. Not too hard, but a pain in the ass.

retroarch is super easy, you just scan where your roms are at and it categorizes them with boxart and everything. The only thing I don't like is the playstation layout.
