Based af! That must be an earlier version of the game, now I want to find a ROM of it or something. I noticed they kept one of the crosses on the headstones intact, Nintendo of America axed all of those from the final game. I’ve got a uncensored ROM which was fun to compare with.

That must've been a really early version. Somewhat different theme. Different level layouts. Different background. Different sprites for several enemies. What appears to be a completely different Medusa boss. Pretty darn interesting.

Same, I haven't gone too far down the 1.5 rabbit hole, but I'd play it for sure if it got finished.

1.5 is one of those projects that while I don’t want to replace the original with, I’d love to peek into another world and see how it turned out. Same with that RE Dash game where they returned to the mansion and it’s partially damaged and all overgrown, weird early sequel idea.
