Wow, Spoony is actually putting some kind of effort (well... relatively speaking, at least), making actual commentary and even interacting with people before the game. I wouldn't be surprised if this was his end-of-month attempt to make his Patreon go up and you'll see nothing more for him for at least another month, but it's still just such a big surprise.

He actually gave two reasons towards the start as to why his hair is so long at the start (before playing the game he was answering some questions from the viewers--and of course banning anyone who criticized him). The first was that he was "broke" and was saving money by not having haircuts, the second (and much weirder one) was that he trying to get an acting job and that actors often had their hair long, because if they got a role that needed long hair they'd be all set, but if it required short hair you could just cut it, whereas if your hair was short and you found a role with long hair, it would take too long to grow out and you'd miss it. He also mentioned that he gave up on his attempt to grow a beard because it looked terrible (true).

Incidentally, when asked where he was for months, he said was "deep underground."
