Having to farm is no fun. But if you don't need it and only do what you like, why not.

GenX wanted their own gardens or bust. None of that communal allotment garden thing where a committee tells you what you can and cannot do to your hut and when to trim the hedges.

GenZ loves farming. Harvest Moon, Stardew Valley, Farmville, they love the lifestyle. Some might try it some time, but for most of them there is too much outside involved.
