I was mistaken. It was actually just under 2 years the Android Arc. I don't know why I thought it was 1 year. Maybe because I remember Toriyama saying he rushed to get to Perfect Cell when he wanted keep the second form around a little longer.

Anyways, I was able to find the release dates of the beginning and end of the Android arc.

Chapter 329 was released on June 18, 1991. The end of it shows Freeza and King Cold flying to Earth.

Chapter 420 was released on April 27, 1993. That was when Future Trunks takes out the Cell in his timeline.

And the end of the series was May 23, 1995. So Buu arc was definitely longer but not much longer than the Android Arc that I remember.

Actually what surprised me the most was that OG Dragon Ball was longer than I thought. Almost 4 years. I think that is what made me mixed up the amount of time for each arc.

Then again, in Toriyama's mnd, Frieza is the end of OG DB anyways. Frieza was the "end of the journey / the actual Guymaou" so to speak. What's fucking funny is that (kid) Buu is supposed to be some destruction aspect of a divine Buddha / whatever equivalent the chinese have of the Brahman or some shit, with Goku being in his "enlighted" self after the journey, defeating him, concluding the Journey to the West. And now they are retreading water with Ultra Instict on the same exact principles.
