I use what's simply the most convenient for me and my friends for gaming. Teamspeak works differently (as it uses a shitty, ancient idea of having to set up a server for voice communication) and doesn't save history as far as I know, and while it's not much of a hassle, it's annoying for plenty of people. Discord basically replaced Skype for me and my friends, it's simply more convenient.

I would totally go way back and keep using traditional postal services for communication, but it's just little bit less effective. And as for someone spying on me, that's just too bad. I'm nobody important, and I don't really care about general paranoia - as far as I see it, it's not really about someone using something against me, but about the idea that someone has information on me, which I just don't care about.

With that mindset, you might as well not use phone, because someone could be listening to you, or not go outside because someone might be spying on you. Being cautious is good, but there is a line when it becomes problematic...
