Yeah, his cucks actually love to gift subs to people, and there's no way on twitch to refuse a gifted sub. DSP has taken advantage of this situation as he does with everything, so that now he relies on gifted subs to hit his goals. Some cuck can gift you a sub so long as you have a twitch account, and there's nothing you can do to stop that streamer from getting $2.50 off of you.
What we saw the last time gifted subs started wearing off was around 400 or so actual subs. Anything above that required fans to gift subs. Sort of like how his stream attendance sits around 200-400 viewers in any given day, unless he's playing muh day 1 AAA games or unless he's playing something detractors want to watch, like bloodborne.
