Do you know what the most common myths pertaining to gayness, pederasty and homosexuality were in olden times, namely B.C.? They were Zeus and Ganymedes and various of Apollo's myths. And do you know what the reaction to Zeus getting Ganymedes and fucking him was not only from the public but from the gods in the story? They were fucking apalled. This shit has been ingrained in greek culture for ages, if not centuries now.

And while schools now may be a bit more PC, I didn't have that kind of luxury and often we had to hear about disgusting things our ancestors did in classrooms, age fucking 8. Imagine going to school and learning about the various myths and cool shit and suddenly teacher goes "And then Zeus fucked Ganymedes". Not even our parents gave a fuck. And Ganymedes was a teen.

The Macedonians did not have a professional army until Phillip II’s reforms, like almost every non Spartan state (except for parts of the Argos and Theban populace) it consisted of farmer soldiers. Macedonian kings were well known for their use of male lovers: Archelaus and Alexander to name two.

On the myths. Wow you mean founding myths of culture and customs often are established in the long past of a civilisation? What a genius you are. Not sure what version of the Ganymede/Zeus myth you learnt but in all versions the only Olympian who is “appalled” is Hera, and only on the basis that once again Zeus is sleeping around.
It would be weird if they were all appalled because then Apollo/Hyacinth, Poseidon/Nerites and the dozens other relationships would make no sense
