From the horror story told here I'd say the original was better. Sure, it had weird IN cameos and jokes that were not nearly as funny as they thought they would be, but it's like one of the few IN movies I might actually rewatch. Eventually.

The best joke by far, that got a half grin out of me, is they needed a grease man. They mistakenly got a Greece man. That is the highlight of their cleverness.

It's all over the place as well but if you take it for a silly project it's quite alright. It got a lot of goodwill from me because it's entirely free to watch and reigns supreme in the IN movie category.

It's much funnier with the directors commentary because you can hear how proud Jay and Mike are of the movie and how they think it's genuinely a great comedy. Only Rich is aware of the truth.
