Although copying him was probably the best way to get a cameo. If Doge's writing all the roles, it will be easier if he just has to write "Nostalgia Critic A" and "Nostalgia Critic B" rather than a more "nuanced" character.
There was no danger of that happening of course.

I doubt most of the CA drivel ever put much thought into it. They saw the NC, liked the videos and just decided they wanted to be part of the low-effort angry reviewing trend.
As I mentioned before, most of the unaffiliated YT angry reviewers we exactly as interchangeable.
