The midrolls being banned was also because Blip already didn't manage to pay out all of the ridiculous money they "owed" everyone.

Between that increasing his bottom line and thus taxes and the utility they bring, it's likely worthwhile to actually keep them around.

Yeah, he needs a straight man there to bounce his "LOL SO RANDUM" "comedy" off. Fat Latina and Token Gay probably work cheap, too. It was definitely a smart business move to fire all the TGWTG bloat and use a couple employees instead.

Doge isn't struggling-he's just greedy as always. E-begging is in his blood. Why make less when you can make more? I doubt he feels any guilt fleecing the autismos that make up his core audience.

I remember during his little "Where's the Fair Use" movement, he specifically said he didn't want to open a patreon. Something about not wanting to be "beholden" to fans after their quiz show fundraiser. Seemed dumb to me since I think that could have been an extra 6 figures a year.

He had to wait as to not give dedractors more ammo.
Nowadays we're living in a brave new e-world where every IN is fleecing their audience from at least two different subscription sources, so it's all fine and dandy now.
