that's simple The first Alice and Beetlejuice are both Tim Burton films and he is a producer of the sequel, so he can make the same lazy jokes he does in every Tim Burton movie.
Tim Burton is one of those overrated directors that people (including Doge) idolized, but when they did one movie that the critics did not like immediately have become known as hacks and personal enemies of them. Douge has more demons like that, IIRC there are Michael Bay, M. Night Shyamalan, Zack Snyder as well. Basically they are everything Doge wishes he was but isn't, so when he has an opportunity to attack them without any merit, but for superficial stuff, because every critic does so, he does as well.

Ain't that the truth. Each of them has done at least one great movie (Burton has plenty, he seemed to get shitty around 2000), and even their shittiest movies are far more than what Douche will ever be able to accomplish.
