Re: Pat the NES Cunt

Time for another Pat update:
- I was curious about Pat's car. On Google map's there's a 2008 Honda Civic parked in front of his house. According to this public record, a John Bunonincontri in Colonia, NJ (Pat's old hometown) purchased a Honda Civic in 2008. Did Pat's father buy him a car? Probably.
- CU Podcast 132:
- It opens with Pat and Ian basically calling for gun control over the Madden tournament shooting.
- Pat and Ian both think gaming journalism has gotten better. They think Jason Schreier is a good dude. The Kotaku report on Riot Games sexual harassment is a good one, says Ian. Also the article on Atari sexism or something (it cost Bushnell a GDC award).
- At 1:48:20, Boomer Pat still has an answering machine (and a landline telephone) and it's in the audio.
- 5th Anniversary Memories:
- Cheapskate pat mentions his TV buying problems. (Buy from Amazon or Best Buy, Pat.)
- Pat and Ian claim credit for the RetroVGS/Coleco Chameleon stuff, but StopDrop&Retro did his own set of videos.
- Not So Common: Pixel Dan interview #2:
- Pat was approached by a TV producer to turn Flea Market Madness into a reality TV show.
- Pixel Dan was too, but the producers wanted to turn it into a competition.
- (No word if the Game Chasers were approached. They might be on suicide watch.)
- CU Podcast 133:
- Opening to podcast is an ad for an AltCoin website. Pat was shitting all over BitCoin during one of his Not So Commons when he was moving to his new house. He's a hypocrite.
- Pat bought some "expensive Turbo CD" game. He didn't say which one. (He apparently already owns Magical Chase, so maybe a "cheap" $500 game instead.)
- Pat had a friend who touched an Abram's tank once and said it was slippery. Pat apparently thinks this somehow allows it to withstand nuclear blasts and isn't just paint.
- Not So Common #45:
- Wishes people would stop talking about presidents' genitalia. He complains about the tabloid journalism he feeds on.
- Taunts evangelicals for supporting Trump.
- Pat called Kavanaugh "slimey". (Like how Pat is "greasey".)
- Pat lived with his parents until he was 26. He blamed "the economy". (Is that why his dad bought him a car in 2008?)
- CU Podcast 134:
- During Telltale segment, Pat and Ian go off on people wondering if they'll get a new season of a game they liked.
- Y'know the customers that keep businesses in business. And by expressing demand, they just might get the licenses transferred to a different studio that hires some of those employees to make the game.
- Ian thinks game devs should unionize.
- Pat's sister divorced her first husband over a World of Warcraft addiction.
- Pat denounces people who define their worth as collectors. (Despite that's how he promoted his Punk character and his authority to write a book.)
- Pat and Ian complain about gatekeepers and people who know less than they think they do.
- "Gatekeeping" is just ludicrous complaint made by games journalists so they can write complete nonsense without playing an entire game series.
- In other fields, "gatekeeping" is called being an "expert".
- I think this hits Pat close to home since he clearly doesn't play modern games except maybe Mario or Zelda. Ian plays a few, though.
- Pat and Ian complain about the Big Bang Theory, then tangent onto guido stereotypes.
- His new name should be "Pat the NES WOP."
- During Telltale segment, Pat and Ian go off on people wondering if they'll get a new season of a game they liked.
