Sometimes, I wonder if he whined about Smash Ultimate not giving Simon Belmont, Mega Man and Pit their "iconic" outfits from Captain N.

He was complaining about Captain N not being in it. Years ago he was bemoaning that Smash brought teh jawks into his beloved Mario gayming because of the violence or some shit. Basically, he believes that the Smash autists are the same as the Halo crowd who he believes are all college football dude bro jocks that smash all the pussy 24/7 that he'll never have.

And who's to argue with him over that. Ever seen m2k or Leffen? Omega cunt destroyers for sure. The Smash players are so alpha that they don't even shower because they aren't ashamed of their ultra manly pheromones.

If you were to basically do the exact same show now, the internet would be in literal flames over how shitty it is and how the characters barely resemble what they're supposed to be.

But Blob thinks the show is just fine, and yet he'll probably make one hell of a spergout video for whenever that Mario CGI movie gets released. It will be his personal "SANIC'S ARMS AREN'T BLUE!!" moment.

Ironic that he rejects Miyamoto's canon for some lolcalization junk, given how much he slobs the man's dick. It was pretty great how he used the word "iconoclast" repeatedly to describe Miyamoto in his book. The man who made the most iconic video game character ever is an "iconoclast". Bob couldn't have better proven he's an idiot who uses big words he doesn't understand to try and sound smart.

Ironic that 'iconoclast' and 'iconoclastic' would much better describe his hated Yuji Naka and Sega, or whoever at Sony it was that came up with the dudebro Playstation, than Miyamoto or Nintendo

The Gen Xers fucking hated anything that came before them and truly thought they were the greatest generation ever. The Simpsons made fun of it when Bart and Lisa said Homer listened to "Dinosaur bands" in the Lollapalooza episode

If you remember the episode though, it showed that Homer thought his boomer music and generation were the greatest generation ever when he was young. And that was true. They called everyone that wasn't into their rock and roll as "squares" or "nerds".

Gen X was full of themselves, but so were the Boomers. Even Millennials must remember having boomer music in every third commercial? Well it was so much worse in the 80s. It was in probably 60% or more of the ads. So many TV shows and movies were about the (idealized) 50s and 60s. (Back to the Future was one of the few good ones to come out of that fad.) So many dumb documentaries about how awesome the boomers were and how their activism or their music changed the world for the better (it really didn't).

Then there were these TERRIBLE shows like Thirtysomething that were literally about boomers whining, "WAAAA! I have to work!!! I have to raise kids and have responsibilities! WAAAAA!"

Well, it's hard to be unironically nostalgic about the 90s, though. Shit clothes, shit music. There were good things but the terrible shit is still too fresh in mind and not as easy to ignore than the shitty things of the 80s or 70s.

You're just old enough to remember those things. Most people who are deeply nostalgic for the '90s were probably no older than ten when they ended.

It's funny, I used to be very nostalgic for the '90s but these days I find myself more nostalgic for the 2000s
