Are you saying that generations are... a social construct?!
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: Movieblob
This is actually a topic of discussion on whether or not the people born between 1977 and 1983 counts as millenials or Gen X. So sometimes they're classified as Xennials, people who grew up with Gen X ideals but also had access to the beginnings of technology that Millenials would have. Many of these people as teens would have had blogs or tripod pages, so they would be proto-Milenials.
Re: Movieblob
Blob isn't a Gen X-er or a Millennial, because both of those are classifications of human beings, which Blob is not.

Re: Movieblob
Then the question is whether or not Bob has Gen X ideals. Personally I don't think so

He's a utopian fascist. Those are his ideals.
Re: Movieblob
He kind of does, at least on what he consumes. From everything I've seen, Gen X is very much "If it's older than me, it's garbage, if I was too old for it, it's garbage" thing that Bob does. But of course that is his narcissism as well. Also, he does kind of fetishise the idea of being a Gen Xer.Keith Chegwin wrote: ↑Mon Jan 07, 2019 10:16 amThen the question is whether or not Bob has Gen X ideals. Personally I don't think so

Re: Movieblob
Speaking as a millennial, that could quite easily describe the attitude of a lot of people my age. They're the people most likely to use the dreaded 'It was before my time' when asked about something older than them
Which is exactly why he's not an Xer. The Gen X stereotype is that they're cynical, disaffected and often apathetic. Bob is more of a spoiled, self-centred 'social activist' type. Those are all traits more commonly associated with Millennials.
