Re: Movieblob
Don't forget he spent more time talking about Stan Lee's death than his father's.

Re: Movieblob
Given the way he managed to make Stan Lee dying all about him, I'd consider his father lucky

Re: Movieblob
When will this guy grow some balls and just say he wants a society predicated on the idea that some people are second class citzens and just can't vote because their ideas don't match his...
Really, we all know he wants that. Sure, we joke about his eugenics "joke", but this is a guy reaching his 40's still sulking around about how "people suck" like he is doing a non-ironic impression of Holden Caulfield even though Bob would be the first to call the character a whinny asshole, but really, Moviebob has a lot of that character, even his creppy glorification of childhood innocence.
Not to mention, if you are over 30 and still get genuinally upset about politics go fuck yourself. Not to act cynical, but if at this point you don't get that politics and shit don't really have a direct impact in regular people regular lives (unless it's war time, dictatorships or something of the sorts) and people just live their lives regardless.
By all means, talk politics, discuss, etc, just don't give this self-rigthous judgement crap over this shit that is inconsequential or you youself has no control over.
Also, Bob thinks people would have a meaninful say in politics, lol.
Re: Movieblob
And on that day, Bob will complain that he's being asked to present his qualifications. Until that happens, he'll be legally banned from saying anything publicly. Best case for him and his wealth of credentials is turning screws or mopping a floor somewhere. Whenever 'they' get around to review his file, he'll still be there, but now they'll be laughing at him.

Blob is important for the enlightened future, for he is the keeper of old Mario lore. It's like Fahrenheit 451, just more autistic.
Autism attracts more autism. Sooner or later, an internet nobody will attract the exact kind of fans - and detractors - he deserves.

Re: Movieblob
Bob is much worse than Holden. Holden's thing was mainly lamenting peoples' dishonesty. He had other shit going on, sure, but his biggest pet peeve was people being phony. Bob doesn't see people who don't read from his script simply as phony. He sees them as stupid, evil, and as obstacles to his fucking Star Trek enlightened space future. Holden wanted people to be real and not bullshit. What they did may have pissed him off, but not being real pissed him off more. Bob doesn't want people to be real; he wants them to be correct, as defined by him. That's oceans worse.rpgworm wrote: ↑Mon Mar 04, 2019 3:22 pmReally, we all know he wants that. As for the children's-innocence thing, Holden's attitude struck me more as a "holy shit, let them be kids while they can" type of thing, actually not too dissimilar to what goes on around here when people start Tweeting about having "male-bodied babies" or whatever. Bob, on the other hand, is the type who would probably support any measures that would get kids away from their potentially-wronkthinking parents and into the shitlib programming facilities ASAP. Fuck letting kids be kids; we need to make sure they end up being, again, correct.
Sure as hell not saying that Holden's a saint or anything. Just that Bob makes him look like one, I guess.

Chelsea Van Valkenberg? Their pathetic cult really can't tolerate the slightest dissent, can they? Now if The Escapist can fire Movieblob while he's gone maybe the website can get some good will back. I doubt that'll happen though.

Re: Movieblob
Never. Because at the end of the day what he advocates is that the talented and productive of society be silenced so the losers, like him, can finally be in charge. And he knows that message won't sell.
"Shut up small business owner, it's the guy who is over 40 and living in his parent's basement turn to steer the nation!"
Much like most INs, Blob is a angry little ball of projection and self loathing. He knows he's useless. He knows the Down's Syndrome kid pushing carts at the local grocery store contributes more to society than him, but his ego won't let him accept it. He also knows he'll never attain the power his ego craves. He'll never become a "diversity coordinator" making a six figure salary. He'll never become "Commissar Chapman" telling those backwards straight white male plumbers and electricians how to do their jobs.
And that proves there is some justice in this world.
