Not very. You just need a camera, a porn hub account, some seed money and some people who want to be paid to fuck. There's plenty of shitty videos that still get a lot of hits just because there's penetration in them, quality doesn't really matter.

Brad's already admitted to directing porn during the Another Snob Movie marathon. It was when he lived in Los Angeles in the early 2000s, someone called him up to do some work. It was shot at some large house or mansion. It was a hot tub scene or something.

He said he used the alias "Jack Stone". I tried searching around, but apparently no one cares to list porn director credits anywhere.

While the directing wasn't great or anything it was probably one of the least problems with Jesus Bro. It's the writing and the bad acting that was the problem.

For Brad, this is unbeleivable. It doesn't look like TGWTG home video, it almost looks like a movie!

That's given to be terrible as well in this case. The Walker brothers are present, of course they are, because Brad doesn't have to pay them. Looks like Rob is one of the main characters. It could be worse, he could cast Douche instead, but I only see him in one shot, so maybe he won't have be in the movie for long.

AVGN's movie looked semi-professional too, but was a dog turd.

Space cop is another example of looking good but absolutely terrible.

I looked at his IMDB and it looks like the only directorial work Ryan's ever done has been Brad's movies. Most of his credits are as an editor for TV movies. Which makes me wonder, if you gave him a decent script and real actors, would he actually make something enjoyable?

But what insane price are you going to charge for a fucking DVD?
