I was lurking here in the final days of DHI 2.0, still a bit sceptical of all the bashing of my once beloved Bosses.
Then I saw the light, and became a born-again shitposter.

There was a lot more drama back on 1.0 and the website was pulled in many different directions. Monty wasn't happy to just provide a place for autists to sperge. It was also in the early days of shitting on e-celebs. Opinions which are not even surprising nowadays were shocking back then and any dissent towards an e-celeb was taken as proof of being a horrible human piece of shit troll. So places like DHI had a very negative reputation. Not to say this place couldn't gain a negative reputation on its own, but anyone who talked shit about some e-celeb bitch like Pissed Pedro or Doge Walker the Dog Walker was automatically treated as subhuman, even though a lot of others were thinking the same thing. They were just too afraid to say it. Point is, Monty was uncomfortable with that negative feedback (I think) and wanted DHI to become something else. But it wasn't ever going to. You can't plan a place like DHI. It springs up organically.

1.0 had drama as well from busystreet crossover and the cows themselves posting on the forums. Cows still post here sometimes, but it's more rare. Jordan killed busystreet and that stopped a lot of the turbo autism from gay furry tranny roleplayers.

I lurked a bit on DHI 1.0 or 2.0, I think around the time when spoopy's meltdown happened, then the site died and a few years later I found 4.0.
