I agree that was weird because he only starts to appear in OOT and not in all the timelines after that.

Not just Ganon, they felt the need to explain to us why there are so many Links and Zeldas and why they all look vaguely similar. And what's their stunning explanation that we all desperately needed to hear? 'They all came from God/are reincarnated Gods'.

In previous games we were told the Master Sword was forged by illuminati mystics to keep us from learning the truth. After Skyward Sword? 'Oh, it came from God'

Fucking riveting stuff there, Nintendo. How do you do it?

"God" is meant to represent the franchise's writers.
