Call me a bitter and jaded asshole, but this business plan is doomed to fail, because there is really no business plan, just a money grift without a clear organisation. I'd say that their Kickscammer description was full of buzzwords, but it's not even that, just 3-4 paragraphs of wishy-washy we have this great vision, including pLaNt-bAsEd fOoD so kweerkeh teehee.
I can only predict that the venue is LGBBQT-welcoming, too :3
Him and a few other bong retards have podcast called The Retro Hour, where they interview old game developers, asking the most inane and basic questions you can imagine. It could be a good podcast if those retards would know anything about games, one of the guys called Julian Gollop's games "RTSes".

Whew laddie, the new grift Barcade is such a big hit, just look at those enthused crowd :3
Their KickScammer barely managed to get the asked goal of 25k quid (which is like what, 2 months rent for this venue in bongland?), noone has done any more marketing (you'd think at least NostalRus or the Brown-couch-guy would use their reach some more), there is greasy vegan fingerfood to ruin the arcade cabinets with (of which there only seem to be 5 or so), and you run the risk of meeting KimJustice in the wild.

Seriously that's a barcode? It would have been cool to have the arcades integrated into the tables. This just looks like a Chuck E Cheese except for arrested developed adults.
Also, I never saw what Kim Justice looks like. He looks like Guru Larry in drag.

-Nothing to offer when it comes to satisfying the needs of arcade lovers
-Nothing to offer when it comes to satisfying the needs of finger food and liquor lovers
-Less and subpar (at best) to offer compared to a proper vegan restaurant
Children with lemonade stands have more business sense than these retards.
This is going to last even less than an anti-capitalist coffee shop that opens at 9 AM, 10 Am on weekends.

I am surprised they have a Centipede. I bet it doesn't have a Millipede/Centipede dual board, though.
It looks positively pathetic. I don't think I have to state my opinion on the lack of pinball.
No cocktail table cabs either. You'd think a barcade would be the perfect place for just that.

Poor selection tbh. A multi-slot neo-geo with Metal Slug is practically required. No Final Fight? I assume SF2 or SF3 is in there and just out of frame, right? Daytona? Outrun? Bubble Bobble? Star Wars? That shitty konami TMNT arcade? Joust? Tempest?
Their selection of games, just based on what I'm seeing, is definitely aimed at boomers. But even my list, which is primarily based on popularity rather than what I personally like, showcases some big boomer names they've left out. I didn't even mention shmups. No Raiden? No Cave games at all?
Of course, real arcade hardware is expensive. Maybe they would have been better off with emulation boxes using mister fpga.
