It's Matei and the slobs that are doing the heavy lifting for AVGN nowadays. James just has to do voiceover, and appear on camera for skits and shilling garbage like Soylent and Chinese knives. Matei has been doing game footage for AVGN like the one for Sim City as well helping write episodes. They didn't break up, they did end James and Mike Mondays because traveling to Mike's house took too much time for James.
