You've sort of answered your own question. Having a normal job and interacting with normal people kept him grounded in reality, which he lost when he gave that up and surrounded himself with, presumably, only people who told him he was the best ever. It's exactly what happens to real celebrities just on a smaller scale.

He's actually released a new ProJared video, I'd have thought he was done with it and he was off to e-beg on Twitch for perpetuity.

And now that the world of gayming has souls, we don't need a 3d castlevania game. Dank Souls, Demon's Souls, Bloodborne etc are all what castlevania in 3d should have been. Even if castlevania goes 3D successfully and translates the formula over, they'll just be accused of being a souls clone.

I don't think people will be that shocked after that reboot ripped off Shadow of the Colossus among other things.

Serves them right for their attitude towards not only their IPs, but also their employees.

That's the best part about Konami. They're fucked now. Legal gambling has reduced the demand for pachinko machines and they can't exactly go back to making video games because they've forced out all their good directors/producers and are unlikely to get any new blood because their poor treatment of employees is all over the media.

Seems Jirard didn't fully understand why Yooka-Laylee was criticized and only focused on dismissing the "gameplay is outdated" retractions from some review outlets without ever acknowledging the Jontron controversy & Playtonic's patronizing treatment of its supporters' legitimate remarks about their SJW-appeasing bullshit. He also went into cringe-inducing babbling about the game's "nostalgic throwbacks" and "not giving a shit about the diatribes of people criticizing the game" while ironically being bitter about said critics' bitterness towards it.

Additionally, he went into his usual "I wasn't paid off to like this game" crap while simultaneously admitting to being paid to sponsor studios. Typical NormalBoots cancer.
