I knew the show was getting fucked in the ass the moment they didn't want Jaune to be happy and they killed off Pyrrha. Can't let anyone but the main characters be some level of happy right? Can't let the fun characters have a happy ending, nah gotta use someone's pain and suffering for bad character and plot development.

Volume 9 takes place in some isekai world, and for some reason Jaune has spent decades in there.
But don't worry. Since this was filler he got de-aged when they made it out of there.
