They are going to curb stomp Lani for potentially fucking everything up, hell it probably wasn't his original idea to apologize in the first place, Kaiser probably told him "You stupid fucker, you know are fans are #fuckyoutube assholes who are going to flame them" because they are the types who want to "bring down the big corporations" and made him do that video.

Toei should of handed a pink slip saying they were fired and to get off the internet instead.

Nine years of work is about to be thrown out the window if Toei does take them down, and they'll have nothing to show for it besides the other abridged series they've done, which are nowhere near as popular because they devoted all their effort and advertising to DBZA.

This might get them to finally realise "Hey, maybe we should make that original series we've been talking about since 2010" but most likely no.

I like how they have funimation be the cool parent who lets them do whatever they want while Toei is the evil old school japanese corporation who let team four star walk that grey area because dragon ball super is out, and would rather not have a bunch of spergs say #fucktoei. Dragon ball hasn't been this popular since it came over from toonami and Toei needs to keep that momentum going, but also can't let these fucks do whatever they want with their property.

How fucking hard can it be to make a stupid shounen action parody? All the tropes and archetypes are well known, as well as the typical pitfalls. Friggin' Arin already did that years before he succumbed to Game Grumps.

Goes to show how dependent they are. He's just shy of dropping on his knees and crying for them to not pull the plug.
He literally bowed in the video for forgiveness at 3:42. Seriously, that's fucking hilarious.

How long have I been saying that artwork was gonna get em in trouble?
Yep, that's clearly what this was about. A few of those shirts can't be covered by "muh fair use" since many like the "I am the hype" ones aren't a clear parody, and no one in the real world had the balls to make a parody shirt featuring licensed characters and put it in stores. They can't pull the "we are a non-profit fan based parody" shit any more with those shirts as well.

Welcome to the real world. Here is some more cuck posting:
STOP BEING DUMB SHITTY FANS. WE LITERALLY ONLY EXIST BECAUSE TOEI LET'S US EXIST. THEY CAN LEGALLY DESTROY US WHENEVER THEY WANT, STOP BEING FAGGOTS.
I hope some of these other braindead e-celebs wake up and realize what a trap this shit is. It sounds awesome to be an uncreative shit who takes someone else's entertainment product, consumes it or enjoys it or repackages it and then gets paid CASH MONEY to do so.

But then something like this happens, which the notion reinforces that copyrighted IPs are not public domain for moneyfags to print cashola with. Sure, sharing images and memes and art around the internet freely is cool. But the key word here is FREEly. This shit has become cancerous. Originally, the web was about taking media and art and entertainment and putting a spin on it FOR FUN. Not for money. Because when you bring in money, suddenly you're using someone else's IP without permission so YOU can pay all your billth with it. And that's not right.

You think any of these people bothered to get written permission from Toei when they started up their series? How about t-shirts? Mugs? Conventions? Patreon donations? Ad revenue? Toei didn't sign up for all this bullshit. Companies like Toei have been nice to let these leeches suck off of their IP. You can say "oh but abridged series made dragon ball relevant again." What the fuck ever. DBZ is fucking DBZ. It's the OG shounen. All the hype and nostalgia old anime-movieblobs have for DBZ isn't because of some abridged series. It's because of the original property. DBZ might generate less interest some years and more interest other years, but it's the OG shonen. It's always going to generate SOME interest purely because it's fucking DBZ. DBZ is like street fighter in that way.

Imagine some cuck claiming street fighter was only around because of Maximilian Dood.

They probably want it to be at the same level as those anime. And while they were made cheaply, they're gonna cost more than $10k a month. To get a full team on a 22 minute episode is something like $30k at least, and that's just for the animation, not counting the storyboards, the character and setting designs, the sound guy, etc. plus to keep viewer interest, you need to make it a weekly show for at least a few months to build up an archive and there's no way they're going to be able to meet the deadlines with just them three. And there's no way to make enough to afford that on YT and patreon. Even if they put together a kickstarter, they'd maybe be able to get out one episode, if that.

If they boiled it down to a short parody sketch, they could do it, but knowing these guys, they probably want to do something serious and epic.

Yeah originally it was just the 3 of them fucking around with abridging, which was hot at the time. What they should of done respectfully is taking that talent into actual voice acting, as in trying to get a real job by building up their portfolio and showing companies like funimation that they can do a wide range of voices and people like what they do. Instead they just went FREE RIDE and got aboard the patreon train.

Don't forget they also have a gaming channel, which is surprisingly popular.

They are not even talking in dbz voices like they used to as well, its just them. It's not gamegrumps level of views but for fucking around playing vidja it helps bring in a couple extra hundred dollars a week easy.

I could totally see them falling into the Star Citizen trap of trying too much at once. If you only have resources for short, silly shorts, do that. Maybe you'll get some sponsor's attention. Who knows.

What I love is how all these TFS fantards are attacking Toei. The more Toei gets attacked, the more their indifference vanishes. Toei can soooo fuck TFS so fucking hard and TFS has no recourse.

Hey, who was the idiot that told me Toei would never do this because TFS was soooo popular it would be Mutually Assured Destruction(TM)? Because I SOOOO told ya so.
