Re: PushingUpRoses AKA SuckingOutFatness (Advocate of suicide, Queen of cucking LGR)
I believe animals have feelings. I just don't particularly care when an animal is standing between me and starvation.
Hell, I bet some plants have feelings, after a fashion. But I also don't give a shit.
If we all wanted to cause the least possible suffering, we'd eat insects and only insects. Harvesting all the soylent to make vegan products causes countless deaths of small animals. Often rather intelligent species like rats. Speaking of which, we kill rats even when we don't want to eat them. Does that make us evil people? Rats are very smart and they can certainly suffer more than a retarded fish or stupid hen. Yet we kill them when they get into our basements. Hmmm, I wonder why? Perhaps because they shit all over everything, eat everything and breed a bunch? And we consider that very destructive and irritating behavior which is a detriment to our own continued comfort and survival.
Not killing things is retarded in general. Animals kill other animals to survive and so do we. Because we are animals too. We're just the most intelligent animals by far. We use our intellects to try to minimize animal suffering where possible. Unfortunately, massive population sizes require massive slaughterhouses. Or else we'd be living in a world where nobody except the rich could ever eat meat. I'm sure PETA would cream their collective jeans at the thought of that, just as the Democratic party does when they imagine a world where only the rich get to drive cars.
And regarding pigs, while they are highly intelligent, they lack that special bond with people. Simply put, I've heard multiple times from pig owners that pigs don't particularly care about people. They can be tame and enjoy the company of people, but you cannot train them like a dog and they are extremely stubborn.
Pet rabbits today are a domesticated species completely different from wild rabbits btw. They can't be released in the wild because they'd just get eaten. Same as with cows and sheep. A lot of domesticated animals demonstrate play behaviors that you don't typically see in adult wild animals.

Don't think anyone's actually arguing this. The point is that placing so much care onto an animal that will literally eat you if you somehow trip, fall, and land unconscious near it (pig) is foolish. Raise it well and then eat the damn thing. Stop thinking so hard about it.
Hell, come to think of it, some lady in the church I used to attend kept a pet pig all of its life. One day it just started randomly biting her. I don't mean playful nibbles like you'd get from a cat or a dog. I mean biting.
And on the point about rabbits, I think you need to think carefully here. As Tictac mentioned, domesticated breeds are very different from the wild ones. Second, allow me to remind you of all of the sites exactly like the one that you linked that try and tell you that animals have specific emotions and reactions to specific things-- usually telling you that a dog gets upset whenever it knows it did something wrong, which is then proven wrong when you talk to your dog and praise it but do so with an annoyed, angry tone and it tucks its tail and lowers its head.
Regardless, people have been raising animals and still eating those same animals for literally millennia. My mother even tells me stories of how they'd play with the lambs on the farm she grew up on and then, one day, they'd end up eating them. It was just how it was.

Yup, definitely Japanese. If it would've been: "I enjoy watching a dog getting killed and eaten", that would've came from Chinese.Guest wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 7:06 amOh wow, DHI has a Japanese man guestposting! Do tell me, which instinct was responsible for this knowledge?BlueberryRagamuffin wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 1:29 am
Aren't humans just animals reacting on instinct?

It's not that we are just a little bit superior to other animals. We, as a species, are so superior to other animals, even if God existed, the gap between Him and he wouldn't be so big.

I can't say with certainty that this happened with soy, but making room for more farmland for biofuels has starting many a wood clearing where primates got burned alive. All in the name of environmentally-friendly traffic.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 8:57 amIf we all wanted to cause the least possible suffering, we'd eat insects and only insects. Corvids are pretty friggin' smart. They keep their distance, but they aren't nearly as panic-y as smaller birds. And they probably hang out in cities in the first place because of the food. Fuck, I've been in cities where they've aparently replaced pigeons.rabidtictac wrote: ↑Fri Mar 01, 2019 6:57 amThere's a lot of shit that can happen. Which is why you stay alert. But if you stay paranoid, that's not a beneficial survival strategy. It's why animals are cautious when you offer them food, but they'll still take it if you wait long enough. They're even more trusting if you've shown yourself to be a reliable source of food. The crows around here come flying in from blocks away when I open the door. They're not domesticated animals either and they are a prey species compared to some animals.
Also they remember what you did last summer.

I'm also disappointed that the Japs couldn't find some loophole to put him away, but he never did anything on their soil.
