I'd pick any other album that came out before Americana over that. When I was in high school and Americana came out, I thought it was just cringy. Plus a lot of the songs on it sounded too much like other songs. Beatles, Pennywise, Bad Religion, taking the opening from a Def Leppard song. Was like a shitty cover's album.

Also because of Nitro Records, I wouldn't ever doubt their 'punk cred'.

Since I've never been into punk, Def Leppard and can't stand the Beatles it was all new to me. Maybe I like it exactly because it isn't punk.
