In an alternate universe where he did nothing but B-movies and Kaiju reviews he'd have made some modest success like the horror reviewers on TGWTG but would still end up languishing in obscurity like he is now because he isn't funny, he isn't informative, and would still think basic editing in Premiere Pro makes him hot shit. Even if he wasn't a pretentious cunt he'd still be lazy and boring.

Thing is, if he weren't a pretentious, egotistical, narcissistic cunt, he'd probably have humility enough to either realise this business isn't for him and to move on to, I dunno, crushing glass like he would've been if the internet didn't exist to convince him he could be a interior crocodile-alligator. Or, to actually try and improve his work to get to the point where he actually could be something more. If you've seen a Blob video in 2009 you've probably seen one in 2024, the only thing that's changed about them is that he doesn't do Game Overeater any more (probably because everyone made fun of him and his cringe skits with his fat ass) and he had a brief dalliance into 'angry reviews' (ten years after AVGN had already become big doing the same fucking thing) because his Pixels review blew up, that didn't last because nobody cared

Compare him to JonTron, who once said his aim was to make each new video better than the previous one, and whose early work bares little resemblance to the kind of content he typically does now
