But considering it was announced years ago once and then nothing, it may very well be canceled.
Atlus is too busy shitting out cash grabs with the persona 5 name attached to them to make it.
Even 4 and Apocalypse had Persona-like characters and comedy everywhere
That fucking blows. SMT 4 and Apocalypse are on my list to play eventually, but they're on the 3ds and the visuals are clearly inferior to SMT 3. What a sad day when a game that's probably 30 years old looks better than modern shit. Being able to see your demons moving around in glorious 3D is a big deal, and it's why I think Cyber Slut keeps that spirit alive better than some handheld with moving .jpgs can. The models in cyber slut look really nice in motion, which is more than can be said for Pokemon btw.
I realize SMT 1 and 2 were in FPS "3d," but those were a product of their technological limitations. They might have been in first-person if they were remade today, but they would definitely have full 3D, even if they were. Modeling every demon in 3D matters in a game about demon-collecting and training.
I already own Strange Journey. It's pretty good for a handheld SMT, but it lacks the demonic spectacle since most of the demons are wiggling .jpgs like I said.
It's obvious that Atlus are going to keep milking the Persona line and assorted spinoffs forever since that's the franchise normie-as-fuck normies who like to pretend they don't have pleb tastes will play.
Nocturne's art is fucking amazing btw.
